Comedian and car-show host Jerry Seinfeld is parting with a trio of his prized Porsches — the first of multiple vehicles from his collection that will be headed to auction.
The 1955 Spyder ($5 million-$6 million), 1958 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster ($2 million-$2.5 million) and 1974 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR ($1.2 million-$1.5 million) will be sold at the annual Amelia Island, Fla., auction on March 11.
"I've never bought a car as an investment," Seinfeld said in a statement. "I don't really even think of myself as a collector."
The former Seinfeld star and host of the web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee said that he still loved the Porsches, "but it's time to send some of them back into the world, for someone else to enjoy, as I have."
